KVH Ether-MAN EX enables you to connect multiple locations through a simple Ethernet interface.

Highly reliable and flexibly configurable at reasonable cost, Ether-MAN EX will allow you to minimize capital investments and realize a low total cost of ownership without compromising quality.

Ether-MAN EX features four classes of QoS (Quality of Service), enabling efficient processing of data, VoIP (Voice over IP) or video traffic without degradation of voice quality due to surges in traffic.

Available nationwide in Japan, KVH Ether-MAN EX is a multipoint-to-multipoint connectivity solution offered in two network types: Standard and Transparent.

Standard – all access ports use either Access Type or Trunk Type with a port type compatible with your frame format.

Multiple VLAN IDs are set and segmentation takes place
VLAN IDs are specified by KVH and distributed to you

Transparent – all access ports are set as “Access” type.

You can use your own VLAN IDs
Your frames are passed through
Location connections are controlled using your VLAN IDs
Security of your segments is ensured within the KVH network
