KVH DC Operational Services allow you to remotely manage your Internet business operations and maximize uptime with KVH’s technical resources. Available at any time within KVH’s data center facilities, KVH bilingual on-site engineers will act as your eyes and hands for managing your infrastructure, performing a range of tasks spanning from simple kitting and racking to following emergency operations procedures as specified by you.
KVH Operational Services come in the following three offerings:
1. KVH Remote Hands – Basic on-demand rack related services
- Powering routers, servers, switches, and other devices ON and OFF
- Status checks on LED and other devices
- Connecting, disconnecting, and replacing cables
- Request-based tape exchanges
2. Premium Remote Hands – Advanced on-site technical assistance and troubleshooting
- Documentation of configurations
- Directly inputting command line code as requested and based on mutually agreed-upon operations or runbooks
- Acting as SPOC (Single Point of Contact) with vendors
- Creating reports
- Creating operational designs
3. Racking / Cabling Service
- KVH engineers will receive equipment and support customs clearance
- Installing, replacing or removing equipment such as routers, servers, etc
- Assembling, installing and maintaining cabling within or between racks
