August 22, 2012: KVH Announces Appointment of New Sales Division Leaders

Tokyo, August 22, 2012 - KVH Co., Ltd., Asia’s leading information delivery platform, today announced that Mitsuhiro Takeda and Takato Hirai have joined KVH both as Senior Vice Presidents of the Sales Division, effective immediately.
As head of Partner Sales Division, Takeda is responsible for developing relationships and business with partners, including system integrators, in Japan and overseas. As head of Enterprise Market Division, Hirai is responsible for managing customer relationships and business growth in major sectors, including media, gaming, and manufacturing, as well as financial services, which is currently a key part of KVH’s enterprise customer base.
With these appointments in addition to Chris Young, who joined as Senior Vice President, Service Provider and International Market Group in June 2012, KVH realigns its sales organization into three focused areas; Service Provider and International Market, Partner Sales, and Enterprise Market, to develop industry-specific solutions for further business growth. These three Senior Vice Presidents succeed Kenji Hioki, who has become Chief Operating Officer to manage Services Operations Division, Systems & Technology Division and Commercial Operations Department.

Biography of Mitsuhiro Takeda
Mitsuhiro Takeda was appointed Senior Vice President, Partner Sales Division in July 2012, and is responsible for developing KVH’s relationships and business with partners. Prior to joining KVH, Takeda had served as Vice President of Market Development at MasterCard Worldwide Japan since 2006. He started his career with American Express International Inc., after which he held various management, sales, and marketing leadership roles at Vodafone Japan K.K., AT&T Jens Corporation, and AT&T Japan Ltd. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Tamagawa University.
Biography of Takato Hirai
Takato Hirai was appointed Senior Vice President, Enterprise Market Division in August 2012, and is responsible for managing customer relationships and business growth in the enterprise market. He started his career with American Express International Inc. in 1987, after which he held various management, sales, and marketing leadership roles at Lenovo Japan, Dell Japan Inc., AT&T Jens Corporation, and AT&T Japan Co., Ltd. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Japanese law from Nihon University.
