Our Data Centers

Tdc1 Our heritage is in the financial services industry and we build our data centers to meet the exacting standards of our financial services clients in terms of security, resiliency, power density, and efficiency.

KVH owns and operates three ISMS and ISO-compliant data center facilities in the Tokyo and Osaka areas, including:

  • KVH Tokyo Data Center 1 (TDC1) – KVH Tokyo Data Center 1 is a carrier neutral hub for the financial trading community in Tokyo. KVH is the recommended provider of TSE Arrownet services as well as the preferred proximity hosting and access point provider for OSE, TOCOM, TFX, and Chi-X. In addition, our network connects KVH TDC1 to SGX, HKeX, the ASX as well as Chicago with ultra-low latency connections. KVH TDC1 is therefore the ideal managed hosting environment for latency critical connections close to Japanese, regional and global exchanges. KVH TDC1 is capable of providing true 2N power redundancy with power originating from two different power substations and traversing through completely separate infrastructure to reach the rack.

  • KVH Tokyo Data Center 2 (TDC2) – Opened for operations in February 2011, KVH Tokyo Data Center 2 is designed to become a new Asian hub for the financial services and cloud services industries. With the capacity to deliver very high power density configurations backed by energy-efficient cooling systems and green IT technologies, KVH TDC2 offers colocation and wholesale data center solutions with high availability networks and geographic reach to other major business hubs like Hong Kong and Singapore.

  • KVH Osaka Data Center (ODC) – For businesses with data center needs in Osaka, KVH offers general colocation and backup data center services from its Osaka Data Center. Managed to the same high quality service standards as our Tokyo Data Centers, KVH Osaka Data Center ensures that your mission critical systems are securely maintained at all times.

Directly connected to our own fiber networks, KVH data centers are operated as carrier-neutral facilities and are equipped with the latest security and earthquake-resistant, fireproof designs to offer the ideal hosting environment for your systems in Tokyo and Osaka.

In addition to these facilities, KVH also extends its geographic coverage through strategic partner data centers in other areas of Japan, Asia, and Europe to provide quality global solutions.
