KVH e-Newsletter - Vol. 3 2012

Vol-3-newsletter-header
Welcome to Volume 3 of the 2012 KVH e-Newsletter!

While the rainy season is sweeping through South-East Asia, we’ve seen no reason to stay indoors and have been busily strengthening our presence across the Asia-Pacific region and globally.

In this newsletter, we’ve included an important update for KVH customers and partners on the power supply and demand in Japan and our outlook for stable power this summer.

Also, there is a message from KVH’s new CEO and President, Ted Higase. Under this new leadership, as KVH plans to continue growing its international business sector, we have updates on our activities and offerings in Hong Kong and Korea, as well as industry insights on recent events KVH has participated in across Japan and internationally, including the KVH Solution Seminar hosted in Osaka in May.

We have also included details on the recently launched TipOff Latency Monitoring Rental Service and our upcoming VDI service, a business whitepaper outlining the common misconceptions around cloud security, and a customer case study of Nissan Century Securities, who has been utilizing KVH’s global ultra low latency network and proximity solutions to enable competitive high-frequency trading.

In addition to managing and delivering our services to customers, KVH has continued its support of the community of Naraha Machi, a town which was evacuated following the Great Tohoku Earthquake of March 11, 2011. With the community currently residing in temporary housing facilities in Aizu Misato Machi, KVH employees visited the area and spent over a month building a log cabin for the local children. Video footage of this project, including the official opening ceremony of the log cabin, are included in this newsletter and further details and photos will be shared shortly via the newly launched KVH Company Blog.
